I metallari canadesi Voivod hanno appena annunciato che il tanto atteso nuovo album, “The Wake”, verrà pubblicato ufficialmente a settembre tramite la Century Media Records.
“The Wake” era atteso sin dal precedente “Target Earth” del 2013 e dal mini – album “Post Society” del 2016.
Il batterista e fondatore Michael Langevin, detto anche “Away”, ha dichiarato “siamo eccitati all'idea di dirvi che il nostro nuovo album, 'The Wake', è completato! La musica è come un viaggio futuristico prog – thrash metal con tanti colpi di scena ed i soliti argomenti voivodiani: disastri, caos, conflitti, strane trame e coscienze alternate”.
“Siamo entusiasti del risultato e non vediamo l'ora di farvi sentire il materiale questo autunno! Provate a beccarci quando saremo in tour in Europa a settembre ed ottobre. Sarà una grande opportunità per la band di testare alcune canzoni del nostro imminente album”.
Il tour europeo dei Voivod che celebra i 35 anni sulle scene partirà il 7 settembre da Praga e ci saranno ben tre date in Italia (Bologna, Roma e Milano):
