Il batterista dei Dead By Wednesday, Opus, ha annunciato lo special “Opus Blizzard B – Day Bash 2017” presentato da Mindsnap Music e si terrà dal 13 al 14 gennaio.
Questo festival di due giorni vedrà, oltre che i Dead By Wednesday, due palchi dove si esibiranno band come Alcoholica, Official Sworn Enemy, Earth (tributo ai Black Sabbath) e molte altre. Qui le info.
Recentemente la band ha pubblicato “The Surgeon”, il nuovo video diretto da Jacques Molle dal loro guest vocalist album intitolato “The Darkest of Angels” (link).

“The Darkest of Angels”contiene undici tracce con altrettanti voci heavy inclusi Brian Fair (Shadows Fall), Waylon Reavus (A Killer’s Confession, ex-Mushroomhead), AK (Flotsam and Jetsam), John Arch (ex – Fates Warning), Rob Dukes (Fragile Mortals, ex-Exodus), Carley Coma (Candiria), Sean Danielsen (Smile Empty Soul), Paul Stoddard (Diecast), Kris Keyes (ex Gargauntua Soul), Antony Armageddon (Armageddon) e Ceschi Ramos (Fake Four, Inc.).
Pubblicato in Maggio attraverso l’EMP Label Group/eOne mentre, per l’Europa, attraverso la Ellefson Music Productions/SPV), “The Darkest of Angels” è il saluto della band allo storico cantante che sta combattendo la sua battaglia contro l’abuso di sostanze stupefacenti.
Invece di buttarsi verso un rimpiazzo la band, assieme al chitarrista Joey Concepcion ed al bassista Mike Modeste, hanno deciso di creare “DOA”.
Un intero album con tracce cantate e scritte a più mani con guest vocalist provenienti da altre band metal che li hanno influenzati.
Il risultato è un concept album eclettico ed emozionante che dimostra la bravura dei DBW combinata allo stile unico di ogni cantante.
