Timothy Bruce Schmit, più noto come Timothy B. Schmit nasce ad Oakland il 30 ottobre 1947 ed è un cantautore e bassista statunitense, conosciuto soprattutto per la sua militanza nei Poco e negli Eagles.
Nel 1998 Timothy Bruce Schmit è stato incluso nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in qualità di membro degli Eagles, band nella quale ha militato dal 1977 al 1980 e dal 1994 fino ad oggi.
